Activities for Interactive Learning
When you think your students should be rewarded to an English activity for interactive learning in the classroom, try: Class Jeopardy, Class Feud, Class Bingo, or Class Pyramid. Three of these are TV game shows from abroad (without the word "Class"), so you may want to check them out on YouTube to see how they are visually played and then, tailor to your classroom teaching. Examples are provided and you can edit the contents to your students' English grade level and their interests.
Try these out. And, learn to make your own!
For 1st year and 2nd year classes, you may want to do this activity in December near the end of the year. The winning team of each class (or some students) can get a Christmas/New Year's present!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, 1st year and 2nd year students!
For 3rd year, have the class leaders lead this activity in Japanese and in English. They can do it with the support from you, the English teacher(s). It should be played near the end of February/March. The winning team for each class (or some students) can get a graduation present!! Congrats 3rd year students!!
**Inspired by 2nd year Japanese students that lead an English activity to their kohai classmates.
